Any Given Day

A man came home from work and found his 5 children outside, still in their pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn around garden, The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and no sign of the dog, walking in the door, he found ...an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, the throw rug was against one wall, In the front
room the TV was on loudly with the cartoon channel, the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pyjamas, reading a novel... She looked up at him, smiled and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?...
''Yes," was his incredulous reply..
She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.’

The Olympics

I have enjoyed watching the Olympics.
Even at an early age of 16 they know who they are and who to give credit too.
Just Amazing!

Sisters Necklace

Nancy Knight had a great idea to give our two friends, who have left for three years to be mission presidents, a necklace.   She found these necklaces at Nordstroms.  They are called Sisters Necklaces by Dogeared.  So we bought four.  One for each of us.  We are to wear them on every Fast Sunday for the next three years.

Today is the first Fast Sunday.  I am already missing them, but am thankful to great friends who support and love me and I hope I can be a support and love to them.

In the necklace box is reads
"Sisters...make a wish and put on your necklace, sisters are forever, even as we grow as individuals, we never grow apart, wear your necklace as a reminder that you are a wonderful sister, and a true friend.  I love you!"

Ice Cream and a Bucket List

Last night or I guess early this morning at 3:00am Ashley woke me up and asked if she could go get ice cream with her friend Katie.
"What?"  I exclaimed.  "Go to bed! And why are you still awake?"
She explained that her and Katie could not sleep and were texting and wanted to go get ice cream.
"No! and go to bed!"
Later that day I remembered about the incident and asked her if I had been dreaming or did she really wake me up at three to go get ice cream.

"Yes"  she exclaimed "Buying ice cream at 3am is on myBucket List!"

Mission Presidents

Two of my favorite families are heading out to be Mission Presidents.  All I can say is "what a lot of work and sacrifice."  I have been watching them prepare their homes for their departure.  Say goodbye to good friends and family and watch as they leave some of their children behind.  All with good spirits and complete faith in the Lord.  Good Luck to both of you.  I am all ready jealous over all the blessings you will receive from your service.
