A book, A recipe and A review.

I have just finished the book "Eat Cake" by Jeanne Ray. What a fun book, I really enjoyed it. It made me want to bake a cake. I have this great recipe for a Chocolate Cake. I made it Sunday and served it with vanilla or peppermint ice cream. The six college students that came to Eat Cake seemed to like it. So try it out and also try out the book. I think I liked it because I'm about the characters age and can relate to her escaping stress through cake. Yummy!!!

One chocolate cake mix
One small bag chocolate instant pudding
One cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
4 eggs
2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
powdered sugar for dusting

Mix together cake mix, pudding, milk, sour cream, and eggs. Beat together for 2 minutes. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Spray a 12 cup bundt pan (Nisa you can use your bundt pan) with PAM. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes Cool about 20 minutes then invert onto rack and finish cooling. Dust with powdered sugar when cool. Thanks to Simpably Things for the Recipe.

  1. I just started a diet. Now I will have to come up with a good excuse to bake another cake. I did a similar recipe this weekend with a lemon cake adding lemon pudding. The recipe is on the cake box. It was good. You can use your bundt pan for this one too, Nisa.
