Today Nate gave his mission talk in church. I know I am a little prejudice but I believe he did awesome. His talk was about Christ like attributes. It is a humbling and spiritual day when you realize your children are old enough to go out on their own. You wonder if you really did prepare them with all they need to survive and when they do struggle will you be there to pick up the pieces. You also realize that yes they can survive without you always being there. Nate is ready. Just like my other boys where. What a great day for a Mom.
I will be posting his experiences as he serves in Chicago. Good Luck Nate and we will miss you.
Since Chicago was on our mind we decided to go with the Chicago Pizza and Hot Dog. Most people could not really do a totally Chicago hot dog but Michelle came up with her version that was right on.
It was so good to see people we had not seen in years. Even Colby and Jason's friends showed up. Thanks for supporting Nate and our family, we love you.
The girls also had fun. Ashley always loves seeing her cousins and friends. She loves to be with all or any of them.
What a cute boy you have there. It's an exciting time in your home, especially with having all your family and friends there. You are just missing Amy and me. I wish Nate the very best.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the Hancocks. Wish we could have been there. We will look forward to feeling Nate's presence near us somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI wish so bad we could have been there, what fun! Mom said Nate did a great job! The Chicago Dog looked official too!
ReplyDeleteNate was inspirational. The goofy relative did good. It required a lot of tissues. It made me glad to be related to him. Goofy runs in the family. Sherry did a great job singing too.
