TJ And Church Ball

Well, Larry has taken a sick day today in Hawaii, so I am going to catch up on some blogging.

TJ has been playing church ball the last few months on the priest's team. The kids are so good to him. One time our team was ahead by one point with 15 seconds left in the game. They passed the ball into TJ and another boy started guarding him and accidentally knocked the ball out of his hands. He could of taken the ball down the floor for the win, but instead he "accidentally" gave it back to TJ. Thus, the other team lost and TJ's team won. Things happen like this all season long. Very competitive boys showing that there is something more important than winning.

TJ has been the manager for the Jordan High School Basketball Team (More on this later). TJ wanted the team to come watch him play. The High School Coach arranged for the players to be at TJ's game.

At the start of the game the Basketball Players yelled they wanted TJ to take the jump ball. So the team let him. This was the first jump ball of his career.

Here he is running the floor.

TJ thinks that every time he gets the ball he needs to shoot. We have been working with him to pass. So we were very happy to see him finally pass the ball.

The high school team was so into the game and so supportive of TJ they were practically on the floor.

The game went into double over-time. TJ had the winning shot......It was close. They lost this game by two points. But TJ thinks they won. But why wouldn't he? All of his buddies showed up and made him feel like a winner.

  1. I have always been touched how TJ's freinds have supported him. Of course, who couldn't love and support TJ. He is the greatest!!

  2. Whitni and I were just talking about how much we wanted to watch TJ play basketball. If I'm bawling just reading about the game I'm sure I'd be a mess. When people talk bad about the youth of today we know that it really isn't true for all of them or even most of them.

  3. Umm....I would also want TJ on my team if the opposing team will give him the ball. That would be my game plan.

  5. I've always been amazed at the friends TJ has. He is quite the guy. I think it's really a tribute to you and Larry and the way you have always supported TJ in all he does.
