LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!

You have all seen the commercial on TV of the people who are locked inside someones digital camera. Well I have a lot of those people. I am up late tonight waiting for TJ to come home from a date :), so I thought I could get some of them out but I am too tired to hook up the camera and download them and la la la la la. But I am not to tired to look through my Real Simple magazine and find a yummy cookie recipe to try tomorrow. So I will share the recipe with you also. I am going to make these and eat them while I free the people in my camera.

Ginger Chocolate Chip Bars

1 cup butter (at room temperature)
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.

Beat together butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat to combine. Gradually adding flour mixture until just incorporated. Mix in chocolate chips.

Spread in 9x13 greased pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes. Cool completely in pan and cut into bars.

You know....You could make these and release some of your people too!

  1. Let me know how they turn out. I haven't ever added ginger to my chcolate chip cookies before. Sounds interesting. I just made 8 dozen cookies last night for a missionary fireside we had. I don't think I will be doing any more for awhil. However, you should check out my friends blog for a chcolate cake she makes in the microwave. I'll get back to you on her blog name.
