Jonathan Thomas Lindsey

Jim and Jenni and their kids come in from Wisconsin for Jim's brothers funeral. Jonathan was born February 25, 1980 and died January 20, 2009. His mother gave a great tribute to him during the funeral that I wanted to share.

"Jonathan has taught me much over the last 29 years and I would like to share a few of these lessons with you.

1-Simple things are best.

2-Clothing should be optional, and when its not it should at least be comfortable.

3-Find some sun and lay in it everyday.

4-If you don't want to deal with someone or something close you eyes and pretend you're asleep.

5-A hug from someone you love can lower your heart rate and blood pressure.

6-Love everyone and forgive freely and quickly.

7-You don't need ears to hear because the heart gives you a truer sound.

8-Be happy in your situation.

9-Keep an eternal perspective."

Even though I only met Jonathan a couple of times I feel his love though his mothers words. What a wonderful message for all of us.

  1. What an awesome tribute. We can all learn from those great words of wisdom. I gave me a lot to think about. I really liked the one about closing your eyes and pretending your asleep. Thanks for sharing them.

  2. I'm going to copy those and put them on my fridge where I can see them every day. They need to be published in a magazine. Thanks for sharing.
